ActiveSync x85010015 with HTC TouchPro

Summary:
Got x85010015 with ActiveSync to Exchange 2007 via ISA2006
(Note all works Ok on my ancient XDA with Mobile 5).
Details:
HTC TouchPro with Mobile 6.1
Cert installed (.der) into phone OK.
email address, logon and server details accepted.
Using WLAN (and tried 3G) for Internet access (OK with IE)
Sync starts with message 'synchronising folders' (Yippe!)
Then 'synchronised: none' with error x85010015 (Bummer!)
Which of course can't be found anywhere (bit like errors in CRM 4.0 ...)

Anyone got any ideas - other than shoot the coders who don't provide decent
diagnostics for us simple folk.....

See The synchronization session of the mobile device fails, and you receive
error code "0X85010015" when you try to synchronize a mobile device by using
Exchange ActiveSync in Exchange Server 2007 -
