ActiveSync has suddenly decided to show as disabled on my main PC. My
IPaq shows as connected, but the "Synchronize" and "Stop" menu items are
both disabled.
Having checked through some of the suggestions in this ng, many suggested
a hard reset which meant losing all data. So I decided to back up the IPaq
first, and promptly got an "Out of memory" error saying that the IPaq was
full.
A Quick look with Explorer revealed a 23Mb recording of me walking around
the shops on a Saturday morning. Obviously I'd accidentally jogged the
recording button.
Having deleted the massive file, ActiveSync and backups sprang into life.
So, as a suggestion for future - if your Pocket PC appears disabled or
won't back up, try checking that you've not got some large unwanted audio
files or email attachments before you launch into that hard reset....
