After you installed Visual Analyzer WU stopped working.
You want to get WU - that is, Windows Update - to work.
Have I got that right?

I think you can use e-mail. I got to gprid=6527 from
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/assistsupport
by clicking Windows Update in the Windows category.
If you are willing sing your song of WU woe to the softies,
I think they will help you get WU working at no cost to you.
You do need to click on the link for that to get started.
As for the other thing, your using the web interface to post,
instead of a newsreader such as Outlook Express, maybe
