Meanwhile I have setted up the device from scratch and it worked until
yesterday in a combination of connecting to 2 different PCs, running
ActiveSync 4.2 and 3.8!
A "USB device not detectable" event was seen before at the PC running
ActiveSync 4.2.
After seeing the problems, I have checked 4.2 settings. I saw, that
connection was defined with "automatic". I'm pretty sure, that I have
configured that with "Internet".
I hate software which means to be smarter than the (stupid) user!
Probably the automatic setting has transfered -again- some settings
about proxys, ..., to the PPC(2002) ...
Can someone (from Microsoft?) explain what kind of network-settings will
be exchanged between the connection via ActiveSync.
What kind of settings will be done, where?
How can I get rid of that?
I don't think it is normal, but I'm willing to re-import some registry
settings frequently to repair a obviously not working well application.
Thanks
Ralf (frustrated)
