We are preparing to upgrade our single Windows 2000 Active Directory domain
to Windows Server 2003. Our DNS and DHCP are also running on Windows Server
2000.
My question is when I upgrade the domain to 2003 AD can I still use my
Server 2000 DNS and DHCP servers? Or do both of these need to be immediately
upgraded also?

Thank you for any info

Hello Chris,

No, 2000, 2003 and even 2008/ 2008 R2 can work together without any problem.

Best regards

Chris,
assuming that you are referring to a Window 2000 Server-based domain
controller that you will be upgrading to Windows Server 2003, then yes, this
process will automatically upgrade DNS and DHCP components as well...
