Can you point to any good article which talks about Windows Server
2008/2008R2 AD backup and restore strategy. Is there any recommendation like
weekly full backup and rest everyday systemstate backup??

There are plenty of whitepapers on how to perform AD backup and restore.
One of the better ones i've read is "A definitive guide to Actve
Directory Disaster Recovery" by Kirkpatrick and Grillenmeier. It's a
free PDF download at NetPro (you'll find it).

In the end, there's no recommendation on how often you should backup
your AD. That depends on how often you change things, how many DCs you
have and so on. Backing up a DC per domain every days is, so would I
say, a best practice. How you back that up and what your recovery
strategy is, that depends on how fast and what you want to restore.

Cheers,
Florian

Florian,

You don't happen to have a copy of that document do you. I am unable to
find it on the NetPro site or the web.

Thank you.
