Add Favorites back to explorer like in XP

I use Favorites extensively under XP to quickly locate files/folders that are
arranged by subject matter in subfolders and displayed as a tree. I cannot
find the equivalent function in Vista. I would like Microsoft to consider
adding Favorites back to the Menu Bar.

Hmm...it's there. If you open My Computer, on the left hand navigation is
the favorite links. If you right-click in that area, you can open favorite
links folder, and make new favorites, and group favorites, etc. It's
different looking, so it was not so obvious to me that it existed at first
either. Good luck.

Right click the taskbar on the bottom of your screen, click properties, the
Start Menu tab, then Customize. Scroll down and check "Favorites menu".

Thanks, Dustin.
I maight have misslead you -- my problem is in Windows (not Internet)
Explorer. I found what you directed me to, but I can't see how it changed my
Favorites in WE.

Why not just add a "Favorites" shortcut to the Favorite Links pane of
Windows Explorer? Open WE (Windows Explorer) Select your user name from the
Folders Pane, Now just right click and drag the Favorites folder to the
Favorties Link pane, let go of the mouse button and select create shortcut
here.

Now you have full control of how you want to browse and mange all your
favorites in just 2 simple clicks without the hassle of any Pull down Menus.

Hope this helps
Dave

Thanks, Dave.
It partially helps, but still isn't the same as IE's favorites.

Right click an empty space on the Desktop and select New/Shortcut. In the
Location line type:
C:\Users\yourname\Favorites
(Where 'yourname' is the name of your user account)
Click Next. The name of the shortcut should show as 'Favorites'.
Double click this shortcut and it should open Windows Explorer with your
Favorites folder tree showing.
