add to favorites - create in - no collapse..?

I have thousands of folders and subfolders with links in my favorites folder.
When I wish to add a new link - and click 'Create in' - all folders and
subfolders opens up - making it quite time-consuming to browse to the folder
I wish to add the new link into..

Shouldn't it be - or isn't it - possible to make the folders collapse..?
It can't be - that the IE7 team are unable to add this feature - can it..?

Well, for whatever reason ... they didn't. I haven't yet heard of a way to
make it collapse and stay there.

Yeah - that's what I also reckoned - Pop..
And because of this missing feature I'll be switching to Firefox as my
default browser - until MS will offer it in IE7..

By the same token, has anyone figured out to Sort the "Add Favorites" tree,
NOT to be confused with the "Favorites" tree, which can be sorted by left
clicking on the ADD favorites button.....You would think if you sorted the
favorites tree then, as you add a new website, the "Add Favorites" tree would
be sorted....but it isn't.....I have to look through the whole list to find
the folder I want to put the website into....MAKES NO SENSE TO ME.
