Hi. Can someone tell me how to get the 'add-on' for windows messenger 4.6
that allows hotmail to display and open from within messenger? I know it is
possible because it worked before I rebuilt the computer. It is currently
messenger 4.7.3001 Thank you

Greetings,

I'm afraid they don't exist anymore. 4.7.3001 does not support Add-Ins. There are only two
versions of Windows Messenger 4.7 that support Add-Ins that still will work on the .NET
Messenger network and neither of them are publically available (if -really- need it, I'll
help you out).

If you require these features, I'd suggest you just use Windows Live Messenger instead
(http://get.live.com/messenger/overview).

Thanks Jonathon. I would be grateful for information
on how to do that, as it was really useful.

Thank you for that, but it does not solve the problem.
Trying to find an add-in that enables direct access to hotmail.
Thank you

I know about that thanks. I want to run both Windows live and
Windows message 4.7 at the same time. That is easy but I want the add in
to 4.7 so that i can direct access hotmail.

Hi hello,

Using the same User ID with Windows Live Messenger and Windows
Messenger, you can't run both at the same time, with the same User ID.

You can both programs at the same time using two different User IDs.

Which version of Windows XP and Service Pack level are you running?

Messenger.
