add a password to a folder in vista

I have vista home basic on my computer.I have some folder that is very
private for me.I like to add a password to them that just allow me to open
them, but I couldn't find any option for adding a pass to a folder. what can
I do?

I am no computer expert however I do know that if you right click on the
file folder that you want to secure for privacy, a SHARING AND SECURITY
option is there. If you click on this option, a window will appear. Under
Sharing, there is a section called Local sharing and security. Read that. I
