XP Home does have backup in the value-added folder, just
find and double-click the file.
BIOS updates are not run from the web, you download the file
and save it on your hard drive, copy it to a bootable floppy
or the newer BIOS exe files are run in Windows.
Power failure is under your control with a $40 UPS.
