Add/Remove Program Issues

Hi there,

I'm running vista home premium 64, of course, and I am having a huge
issue with uninstalling programs.

When viewing "Programs & Features" a lot of programs are not appearing
in the list.

I checked my C drive and found I have 3 Program Files folders

1. Program Files
2. Program Files (x86)
3. Program Files (x86) (x86)

#3 above has no files
#2 has the most, and all of the programs that do appear in the
add/remove list are in this folder.
#1 has a few folders...

There are about 20 or so applications in the "Program Files (x86)" (#2
above) that aren't appearing in the add/remove list.

The main program I want to remove is Stardock Window Blinds software.
It was in the add/remove list at first, I uninstalled it, restarted, it
is still here... but no longer in the add/remove list. The program still
works too!

How do I get rid of these programs?

Hi WhiteTigerEyes,

With that much corruption, I would recommend doing a clean install. If
you have a upgrade version of Vista, see this link for how to do a clean
install with a upgrade version.

I found this. Yes looks like Vista has a problem with it uninstall.
