add/remove programmes error

when i try to add/remove programmes i get an error and can not seem to use
the add/remove option, which in turn is leaving me with a lot of things that
i want to delete on my computer,is there any way i can get round this ?? i do
not no if i have deleted anything to cause this but it used to be ok.
Any help gratefully accepted

I have no idea what this has to do with Windows Update but what
operating system are you referring to?
(and what is the exact error message?)

i am running windows 2000,sorry if i have come to the wrong place to ask alan
but im afraid im not very computer literate but am trying everything to sort
out my problem,when i click the add/remove icon this comes up - an unexpected
error occured.Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment
res://sp3res.dll/default.hta
Line:84
All the components i have are listed there but i cant remove any of them.
Sorry again if im being a bit vague,but thanks for answering in the first
place.

Sorry, but I have never seen an installation of Windows 2000.
I suggest you post to microsoft.public.win2000.general but you might
read through a few of these first:
