Add SCSI hard-disks to cluster node

Hello,

[SQL2005] on [Win2003]

I need to add non-hot swap SCSI hard disks to a cluster node on a shared
SCSI bus. I haven't done this task before and so I found out this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/175278 . But I would need how-to articles
(or help) on these:

1. Turn off all the SCSI devices on the shared SCSI bus.
2. Add or replace the hard disks on the shared SCSI bus.

You will need to shut down the entire storage unit to add non-hot-swap
drives. I stronglt recommend shutting down all cluster nodes first and
powering them back on one at a time after installing the disks.

Hi abba,

The Correct order will be :
Shutdown both cluster nodes.
Add the disk
Start only node One and bring up the disk en try to copy files to the disk
and reboot the node and check if the files are there.
than shutdown node one.
Bring up node Two do the same thing see if you can see the files copied form
node one. If you do bringup node One
Do a disk failover and the files must be moved from two to one.

Now the disk is ready for use. If you don't bring up one node at the time
you could get in trouble with disk ID's.
