Add video after audio -- Windows Movie Maker 6.0

Hi,

I am trying to create a custom movie from an existing home video. I
have the home video as one giant clip on my computer. I want to start
it off with some audio that I have pre-recorded, then show some text,
and then have my video start out.

The only problem I have with the Windows Movie Maker is that I cant
seem to drag the videos in my timeline. I can drag the audio's and
text to wherever I want on my Timeline, but not the video.

Any ideas on whats the best way to get Audio (and a blank screen) for
a minute, and then my video clip?

The following steps apply to Movie Maker
2.1 but should work for version 6.

Try inserting a blank title and drag it to
the length you require. If you place your
pointer on the edge of the title you will
see a double red arrow...when you drag
it you should see a tooltip that displays
the change in duration.

Or...you could use one of your pictures
to create a blank title page any color you
like:

Here's one way to do it.

Open MS Paint....

(Start / Programs / Accessories / Paint)

Open a picture in MS Paint....
(File / Open...choose any picture)

Type...Ctrl+Shift+N

Now you have a blank.

Next...select..."Fill With Color" button in your left pane.

Left click any color you like for your title at the bottom of the screen.

Left click the blank to fill it with the color.

Now go to...File / Save As...

Choose a save location...(Desktop...for example)

Enter a name... Title Page

Choose a format... JPEG

Click Save.

Now import the edited file into Movie Maker and
drag it to the timeline. Change the duration as
previously discussed.
