Hey,
I am trying to add a contact and they are trying to add me, but neither of
us seem to be getting the pop up saying accept. We are trying to figure it
out over hotmail emails, however it doesnt seem to come up on msn. Any help
please?

Greetings grant,

Is it possible that you're already on each other's Allow lists? To check, open any Messenger
window, press the Alt key on the keyboard to open the main menu bar, choose the Tools menu,
then Options, then Privacy category. See if you can find your contact either by e-mail or a
name they previously used (obviously if they've been on your list before for instance). If
you can, just right-click them and choose Add to Contacts.

Hi,

It's possible you need to re-associate your "relationship" between yourself and your contact.
To do that, make sure you both have removed any attempts to add each other on your main
contact list. Then go back to the Allow list, right-click the contact and choose the Delete
option.

After this is done try re-adding as per normal and it should work as expected.

Hi,

You're very welcome. It's a shame this still happens (long standing occurrence).
