Adding 2008 DC to 2003 environment w exchange

I am process of adding a windows 2008 domain controller to a environment
currently consisting of two windows 2003 sp2 domain controllers. One which
has Exchange 2003 installed. I want to add the new domain controller to the
environment and reitire on e of the domain controllers(the one without
exchange). Is keeping keeping the windows 2003 DC with Exchange 2003 going
to work with the new windows 2008 DC?

Hello 2010,

You need to install Exchange SP2 if not done, otherwise Windows server 2008
will not work with exchange. Also keep in mind that you can't install Exchange
2003 on windows server 2008.

After adding the new DC make it also the FSMO roles holder, a new security
group will be creaeted when you move the PDCEmulator role to the 2008 DC
for example.

Before starting check with dcdiag /v, netdiag /v and repadmin /showrepl for
errors on the existing DCs.
