Adding contacts Nightmare

Hi -
I recently deleted a contact and blocked that contact. I tried to add that
contact back from the block list (under tools/options/privacy) when I select
to add the contact back nothing happens. The contact can still see me online,
but there is something gone wrong with the add contact feature. I added
another contact some time ago, and they mentioned they never say anything
from me that requests to add them.

Is there a general reset for live messenger, mine really seems to be screwed
up. The only remaining solution is to start a new live messenger name.
Anyone know a good site for troubleshooting live messenger?
