ADDING GETTING ADDEED

as of the past 2 days adding contacts and getting added by contacts have been
impossible at first they are added then it says ther are in the block list
then they are not in my list when i think they are in my list what is the
problem?? ive tried reinstallin the program and shortening my contact list

The same damn thing is happening to me. It keeps on automatically blocking
every contact I add, but it doesn't even show the block symbol, I had to
figure that out for myself. And when you unblock them, there's a message at
the top saying "This person is not in your contact list, -click her to add
him or her now-. At which point I do as instructed, only to get the hourglass
come up near my mouse pointer, but nothing happens at all. Anyone got any
tips how to resolve this?

automatically blocked, but it doesn't even show the block symbol, it just
does it without me knowning. After unblocking them a message comes up when I
double-click on the contact, at which point even if they're online, they can
message me but it shows them as offline. The message at the top says "This
contact is not in your contact list -Click her to add him or her now-." Once
I've done as instructed I get an hourglass come up next to my mouse pointer,
although nothing happens. Anyone got any ideas?

Same problem here. I can't see the new contact's status; however, sometimes
they can see me online and talk to me. I got "This

A friend and I are having the same problem -- first I fell off her list, but
she was somehow able to re-add me -- now she has fallen off my list and I am
not able to re-add her -- I have "repaired" Windows Live Messenger -- I have
deleted all contacts with her -- I have rebooted a number of times --
nothing/zero/zilch works -- I have also emailed MSN thru the "Feedback"
function, but have gotten no response -- it is only happening with this one
contact -- anyone have any other suggestions for me to try?

This is getting pathetic, is there still no solution? I somehow fixed some of
the contacts using Trillian Messenger, but it still won't let me re-add them,
it does however let them see me so they can message me. Microsoft need to
make sure their software is bug-free before they distribute it. I'm
disappointed.

"I have a similar problems for the last few days. I add a contact, it shows
in my contact list, but it does not show that this contact is on line, when
the person is on line. the person messages me and we talk...but on top on the
conversation window, i get the Message. "This contact is not on your contact
list. Click here to add it". I click there...but that message does not go
away... However i noticed when I move the mouse anywhere in the Conversation
Window (except in the Text Areas) the hour-glass comes up. Tryiing to
reboot... did not help.
I hope MSN Live experts have an explanation for this.

Interesting enough. I went to my other old computer that uses the MSN 7.0
When I logged there on MSN... two pops up came up... the two contacts that i
had problem adding them up....These are the windows that come up and tell
that that a contact has requested to be added in your contact list. I
accpeted their request. I guess that will eliminate the Problem in the MSN
Live Messenger.
On another note.. the hour-glass does not come up in MSN Messenger 7.0. So
this a problem with MSN Live Messenger

I have the exact same problem and it's driving me crazy, I add people but
then don't know they're online. When is Microsoft going to respond to this???
Do they even read the posts?
