Most software out there does not have Vista as being compatible.....Is the
software compatible anyway?

Hi Todd--

My perception is the opposite. Your task is simple. Before you install the
software, check with the maker's site and find out if it's Vista compatible.
If not, you can install and find out. Set a restore point first.

Hi Todd,

Much will run without issue, though some may need you to run them in
compatibility mode. The ones to watch for are those that use device drivers,
as these generally need to be made to run under Vista. These include, but
are not limited to, many antivirus and CD/DVD burning programs

and if you have some app that is not logo'd or known to work and you just
need to work on vista try running in app-compat mode and you may find
yourself surprised
