I tried this today but the error message I got was:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Yahoo (jimdee6933) account. An
incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages,
you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] invalid user/password
Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

The password in the account is right.

Every time I try to get mail from this account it asks for my password I
enter the correct one but it is not accepted.

If I go on my old XP machine with the same yahoo ID and password I access my
mail.

Has anyone got the answer to this one>

Having the same trougle with one of my Outlook Express accounts. Even
though I use the correct password I am told that the password is wrong.

Do you have a Yahoo Plus account?
You can't access the POP3 server with the free US Yahoo account.

Yahoo has not recommended that server name for quite some time.
Do you have Yahoo's premium "Mail Plus" service? See:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...iew/index.html
which requires the following special settings:
