Hello,
I have installed a new VM guest with Windows 7 in it on Windows
XP host.
However after installing additions Windows 7 will not bootup. Halfway there
is a blue screen and the memory dump occurs.
I have tried 4 times installing with the same bad result.
Without additions Windows 7 start OK.
What can I do?
Is it possible to install each additions component like video or audio
separately?
Please help,
Jack

Which version of VPC2007 did you use?
I believe that VPC2007 is not (yet) updated with new additions for
Win7. But the ones for Vista may work and those are contained in the
last update for VPC2007.

If you want better performance (like Aero graphics, DirectX9, Win7
support and USB) then you should look at VMWare Player3. Also free
like VPC2007 and with full Windows 7 support....

I have updated to what MS offers on their website.
I have still the same problem.
Is it possible that RAM is not big enough?
I have 2 GB total memory and out of it I give VPC 1.3 GB.
Thanks,
Jack
