Address Bar In Windows Explorer

Newbie to Vista. Can "Address Bar" in Windows Explorer
be disabled or removed? Tx for any info.

I inadvertently posted this in wrong newsgroup yesterday and
didn't mean the IE address bar.

No. By clicking on it you will get the hierarchy view. That's it.

And why would you want to do that ?

One can always click on the address bar, next to the breadcrumbs, t
make it revert back to the XP style file structure or even simply pres
'Alt D' to do so, if that is what you have in mind
