Windows Live Mail (WLM) does not sync with Gmail
If using a Live ID to sign on in WLM the contacts (or changes made) in WLM
would sync up to your Live ID account on the Live server
(contacts.live.com). If changes are made on the Live servers, and the same
Live ID is used to logon to Windows Live in WLM, then the web changes will
sync down and update the local contact database in WLM.
WLM upon installation will migrate contacts from prior installed Msft
clients (e.g. Outlook Express, Windows Mail, or WLM).
Windows Live services provides the ability to import your Gmail contacts
- Logon at Contacts.live.com > Manage > Import > Gmail
- Choose to Import All, Skip Import, or Cancel
- Follow the instructions and provide your gmail username/pw to access the
account
- Once complete it might be a good idea to run the online Live options to
check for duplicates and or combine (Manage > Clean Up or Manage >
Combine)

Using Windows Live on my Xp system, syncing to gmail.
I've added names to my address book directly on the gmail server. One was
added three days ago; the other an hour ago. Neither shows up in my
Windows
Live Mail address book. I wonder why it doesn't seem to be syncing to
gmail
after the initial sync, which worked just fine.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
