How to administer Windows Updates on Client PCs from Server 2000?

I recently cancelled the network/IT support contract for my small office when
I decided that the company with which I contracted wasn't doing anything in
exchange for what I've been paying them.

That said, I noticed that all of our client machines vary in the current
status of window update. In particular, some machines have been updates to
XP pro SP2 while others have it downloaded, but not installed and still
others do not have it downloaded. Obviously, many other updates have
occurred along with SP2 that have not been downloaded and installed.

Rather than move around the office from one machine to the next, I'm
hopefull that there is a way I can control the windows updates from the
server and keep all the machines "in sync" as far as windows updates go.

Any ideas would be apprciated. I did a few searches on this forum but
couldn't find anything on point. If there is a previous discussion of this,
please point me to it and accept my apologies for the redundant question.

Many thanks.
