Some programs do not recognise me as the administrator when I try to download
or update them eg Adobe photosuite

You may need to elevate the application if Windows User Account Control is
enabled. To do so, simply right-click on the programs shortcut and click on
"Run as administrator" and then click on Continue or Allow (or provide
alternate credentials, depending on the way that your computer is configured)
in the prompt that appears.

I did the right clik on "Run as administrator" and I still got the error in
the ind that said I could not install the software for my HP Photo printer. A
box with all the items with a check as good and big red X on administrator
rights. Will I not be able to use this printer with Vista. My other comp
has windows xp and it works fine. Can anyone help me?

I am having the same problem with spreadsheet under Works! I have tried to
download the patch that is available but, just as you, I get big X box which
says, "system administrater has set policy to prevent this
installation"...HELP
