Administrator Access Problems

I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate. One of the things that drives me crazy
about Vista is the number of error messages I get about not being allowed
access to certain system files because I do not have proper permission.

However, I'm the administrator. I'm always running under full administrator
settings. When I go to the User accounts in the Control Panel it always
lists me as the administrator.

And yet at the same time I'm being denied access to a number of system
processes.

The latest example of which is the fact that I want to simply copy a font to
a website administrator -- who is currently updating my company's website --
and when I attempt to attach a font file to an e-mail I'm told that I don't
have permission to access the Fonts folder. (Although I can access the Fonts
folder through normal browsing; but copying and pasting is still not allowed.)

Any info would be most appreciated!

Actually, you do not. Even administrator accounts run with standard user
privileges in Vista. You have to elevate or OK a UAC prompt in order to put
your administrator permissions into effect. Being an administrator simply
means you can do so, while standard users can not.

Take a look at the chapter on UAC in this article:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

As for the fonts folder: copy the file(s) in question to the Desktop or
Documents folder before you attempt to attach to the mail.
