Hey, not new to computers, but I have even followed what the site suggests. I
still can't get to check for updates. I am running the beta XP64 that was
recently released, meaning the newer GUI version. I don't know all of what I
can get for just using an evaluation copy. As far as I new, you could get the
updates. I guess not through the automatic process? I will try checking the
manual site. I thought I could ask here.

Maybe for those who don't know what the heck I am talking about by just
reading that, I should offer the following.

When the Windows update page comes up, it will try to install the activex
controls. After trying, it will then bring up an informative page that only
administrators can be on there. Well, I am the administrator, don't know how
I couldn't, and that it suggests on how to fix it by right clicking on the
icon etc. I tried that and still same thing. So that is why I figure right
now at this point that it is not configured for this auto update function.
Mabye I'm wrong? Hopefully someone can help.... thanks in advance.
