A couple weeks ago, I installed a trial versision of a calendar program.
Didn't like it, went to uninstall... got message that it was installed with
administrator rights and wouldn't let me uninstall. can any one help me? the
program is "Smart Draw" and is quite large. Thanks

I have the exact same problem with the same program install/uninstall. Did
you get an answer?

yes I did. I found an answer farther down in these discussion threads. You
need to turn on the real administrator account. Go to -

::My OS is Vista Home Premium factory-installed on my HP 8020.:

::I've looked at all the references I could find and now after 6
hours, I'm at least as confused, if not more so, before starting! It'
great to be well-protected but there's gotta be some way to remove
program I installed without such Bysantine machinations. It now appear
I may need to activate the hidden administrator or something. I thin
I'll go for a walk!! This is nuts! :

::[From my Vistahead Intro comment] Currently, I'm trying to uninstal
Garmin's City Nav N. Am NT v.8 (having installed the new version) - 1.2
Gb no less! - and am told \"The system adminsitrator has set policie
...\". Yikes! I installed it so I must be the administrator. I've no
spent about 4 hours trying to figure out what I have to do to unistal
this!! I'll keep looking but if anyone knows off-hand, i'd appreciat
the time-saver. (I tried right clicking which apparently works whe
trying to install, but not for uninstaling!!) - Go figure!::

Thanks to all who have read this and to anyone who knows a 'simple
answer - it's all 'cute by half'
Bo
