ADMT 3.0 User Migration - "Merge Conflicting" grayed out

Hello Everyone:

Here is my scenario:

OS: 2003 Enterprise
Servers: Three
Domains: three - empty root, ad1, ad2
ADMT Version: 3.0

There is one user: "user1" located in both AD1 and AD2 domains

I need to be able to migrate "ad1\user1" from AD1 to AD2 (ou=People)
Essentially, "ad1\user1" will be adding SIDHistory to "ad2\user1". These are
the same identical user, but "ad2\user1" is created by a provisioning tool.

Previously, the installation of ADMT allowed the "Merge Conflicting" options
to be checked and used. These options are not longer available.

What I've tried;

1)Uninstall/re-install ADMT 3.0 on the root domain controller, using MSDE in
installation 1, and connecting to a SQL 2005 instance in installation 2.

2)Install a fresh instance of ADMT 3.0 on "ad2", using MSDE only. Same
behavior.

Continually, the "merge" options are grayed out in the ADMT console. What am
I missing? Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
