When I try to launch Acrobat, I get this message:
Adobe Acrobat 8.1 has stopped working
"a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close
the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Has any one ran into this problem and if so, what did you do to correct it.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat to try to get around it, but
it didn't work.

Download the 8.1.1 update or check Problem Reports and Solutions (Start >
All Programs > Maintenance) to see if there any reports or solutions listed
for this problem.

You may want to check the Adobe forums at:

http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html

You need to registrar to post, but can read posts by other users as a guest.

The error message you are getting is a Windows message not a Acrobat
message. A guess is that when Acrobat starts it is trying to open an
incompatible file version. Do you have any other Adobe programs installed?
Perhaps an older version of Adobe Reader. If you have any other Adobe
programs installed, you can open one of those and run update from the Help
menu. The Adobe Updater will retrieve updates for all installed Adobe
programs not just the one you opened to check for updates.
