I can not get the pdf print driver to work in Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe says it will work with ms hotfix kb930627 applied and Adobe update 8.1
applied.

I have downloaded the adobe update and installed.

When I download the ms hotfix kb930627 it says the update does not apply to
your system.
I am running vista home premium service pack 1 64 bit os.

Any one have any ideas?

Thank you

I had the same problem. My print driver did show up after installing Acrobat
update 8.1.2 and Vista SP1. I can pdf normally from Creative Suite. But, I
still can't pdf correctly from Microsoft Office. I can make a pdf but it will
not let me choose opetions for the pdf; i.e. which pages to pdf or what paper
size or number of pages to print on a page. I spent an hour and a half on the
phone with adobe support today and got no help. The tech sounded like he had
never heard of the problem before and then said it must be a Microsoft
problem. I hope someone else can give us some help on this forum!!

I've got the same problem with Vista 32 bit and Acrobat 8.1.2. I've
reinstalled Acrobat several times. It fails trying to print to the PDF
printer from Publisher and Outlook Express. If I disable UAC, all works
fine. Is there a hotfix for this or something I can do so I don't have to
disable UAC on Vista?

Even though this thread was active in 2008, I'm still having simila
problems printing to a pdf with Adobe Standard 8.1.7 and Vista 64 Hom
Premium SP2. An update of Acrobat or Vista somehow conflicted.
Infuriating (as computers can periodically be).

When I tried to install the Vista 64 KB930627 fix addressed in thi
thread, good old MS had the gall to say it didn't apply to my system.
I'd love to know what 64-bit Vista system the supposed fix does appl
to.

Vista Device Manager does not seem to let us uninstall print drivers s
we can try to let it reinstall them. Adobe denies any problem an
points fingers elsewhere.

Any new thinking on how to correct the "print to pdf" glitch
