Adobe Acrobat thumbnails disappear after searching

When I perform a search for keyword in a file that contains Adobe Acrobat
documents, and then preview the file, the thumbnail for that document gets
swapped out for an Adobe Acrobat icon. The only way I've been able to get
the thumbnail to reappear is to clear out all thumbnails (using Disk
Cleanup), and have Windows regenerate them. Of course, the next time I
search for an Acrobat file, and preview it, the thumbnail disappears and
Explorer displays only an icon. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm
using the latest version of Acrobat Reader.
