I receive the same messages. I will go to a site that requires Flash and it
points me to the Adobe page where I proceed to follow the instructions to
download and install the Flash player. The process appears to be working,
then IE refreshes and comes right back to asking if I want to install Flash
Player. When I go into the Internet options to try the update process noted
in this thread, Flash player does not appear as an option as it has yet to be
installed.
I thought this might be a problem with Flash only so I downloaded Firefox
and found that I could install Flash in Firefox but not IE.
