Just about every day I receive a reminder to update to the latest Adobe Flash
Player. Each attempted install fails. I have MS XP home edition and Windows
Media Player version 11.05xxxx. I am unable to set iTunes as my default
player of audio.

I am at a loss for how to install adobe media flash player. Help please. ed

Hi there,

Go to www.adobe.com and install the flash player from there.

Best regards,

Please say what you mean by "fails". Give the exact text of any error
message or error numbers.

To update your Shockwave Flash Player, proceeed as follows:

- Open control panel "Internet Options"
- Under "Browsing history", click button "Settings".
- click button "View objects"
- Right-click on "Shockwave Flash Object" and select "Update".

This appears to be an entirely unrelated issue.

I receive the same messages. I will go to a site that requires Flash and it
points me to the Adobe page where I proceed to follow the instructions to
download and install the Flash player. The process appears to be working,
then IE refreshes and comes right back to asking if I want to install Flash
Player. When I go into the Internet options to try the update process noted
in this thread, Flash player does not appear as an option as it has yet to be
installed.

I thought this might be a problem with Flash only so I downloaded Firefox
and found that I could install Flash in Firefox but not IE.
