Adobe problem following update

Don't know if this is related.. but the timing sure smacks of it.
Following the April updates, along with the video problems, I could not
start Adobe Photoshop 7.0. It would begin and then die during the
splash screen without any indication of errors/probelnms. A reinstall
failed to fix the problem even after rolling back the updates..
however, in retrospect, the preference files probably remained intact
on my computer. Ultimate resolution was to reset the preference file.

Just passing along information to keep someone else from wasting 10
hours fixing this problem!
