My unit uses Windows ME and IE 6.0
I want to uninstall Adobe Reader 6.0. The icon appears on my desk top. If
I click on the icon and delete option, I am told that the short cut will be
deleted the program will not. When I go to Add/Remove, I do not see it
listed. Any suggestions.

A few thoughts...

1. Reinstall/uninstall it.

2. Post to a more relevant group than Windows Update
Try microsoft.public.windowsme.general or an Adobe forum.

3. Check in the Uninstall key in Regedit for the UninstallString and
paste it in the Start-Run box.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall

Look in the \Program Files\Adobe folder and subfolders for an UNINST.exe (or
similar) program. Use it to remove the reader.

Look for (Adobe) Acrobat Reader in Add/Remove Programs.
