ads in main window not showing up

for some strange reason on the main messenger windiw it is not switching over
to the advertisement like it usualy does. is there a way to change this? or
is it just something that needs to run its course. I still have the same
program settings I have had before and nothing is set to block ads.-

Do you mean it's just showing videos? Or is it just showing a static Messenger logo? If the
latter, it's possible that the configuration server was down when you signed in, or the ads
in your locale are simply broken.

I really wouldn't worry about _not_ seeing ads though
