Hi all

I'm migrating Nt4 doamin to win2003 std, I'm able migrate user with out any
issue..!but during the migration of computers I'm receing follwoing errors

ERR2:7711 Unable to retrieve the DNS hostname for the migrated computer
'20080016547'. The ADSI property cannot be found in the property cache.
(hr=0x8000500d)

ERR3:7075 Failed to change domain affiliation, hr=8007054b The specified
domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

the post check is not starting..! on the requested XP computer,

all the pre-checks are checked like migration account is a part of local
admin group of that XP computer, all the service are started and firewall is
stoped, I do have acsess to ADMIN$ Share..! please let me know.

Hello Anand,

Do you use ADMTv3 for your migration? Did you follow the complete instruction
from the documentation>

yes ..! I did.

so far i did migrate more than 10K users and computer, but this is very
unique problem.

Hi All,

at last I have found the solution, you need to configure the DNS on the
Target DC, and on the client side you have to provide the Preferd DNS as your
newly configured Target DC DNS IP address.
