There are ways, but remember that Messenger is paid for by advertising and as such, if you
want Messenger to continue to prosper, I would suggest you leave the ads alone. They're not
that annoying (compared to full screen flash ads that AIM has used in the past).
However, if you really feel like you need to do this, I will provide a few search queries --
try Mess Patch or A-Patch.
