I need some advice on deleting .inf files in Win Vista Premium; to be
precise
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ado bepdf.inf_fd64446d

Any takers? Also, i can get special permission even with a new user
account. My computer is an ACER laptop if it helps any...

Thanks... Cheers... Monday.

Sounds fairly straightforward. Right-click the 'ado bepdf.inf_fd64446d'
folder and choose 'delete'.

not so; needs special permissions i cannot create through system
user/admin user/or any new account created - have not been able to
change folder/file properties, nor delete using command prompt or run as
administrator via notepad

A couple of methods that should work in deleting the folder

1. Boot from a Vista DVD to the 'command prompt WinPE recovery environment'
(for want of a shorter expression to describe it) and try deleting.

2. If you dual boot then boot into another operating system and try the
delete

Basically if the os is passive then operations like deleting protected
folders are a lot simpler. A 'live cd' should also work as a final thought.
