Sometime ago I purchased a new PC with the Vista Premium package.. Up until a
few days ago, the AERO/3D functionality was working.. I've read through the
other discussion threads on how-to reenable. However, when I go to
'Appearance Personalization > Personalization > Window Color and Appearance',
the only options I have are Vista Basic, Windows Standard, Windows Classic.
Can anyone help? One of the reasons I purchased this PC and package was for
the AERO/3D feature.

You may need to update your Windows Experience Index.

Control Panel (Classic view) > Performance Information and Tools

Control Panel
System
Advanced System Settings
Advanced Tab
Performance
Settings Button
Visual Effects Tab

Make sure "Visual Effects" boxes are ticked. If not, choose "best
appearence" and see if that doesn't do it.

Hang on until Tuesday. Aero is one of the "reduced functionality" processes
when MS thinks you have an invalid copy. They'll have their validation
servers fixed pretty soon.

Soldstny,

If you are in "Reduced Functionality Mode", then this will show you how
to get out of it and extend your trial period time to until you can get
Vista Activated and Genuine. Look at the first part to see if you have
no trial period time left.
