As far as I can tell, no, there isn't. You'll notice that when you use
Flip 3D, the application you where working on is at the top of the
"stack", and the desktop is right at the bottom. That is by design.
If you like to use Flip 3D, why don't you rather use *<WinKey>+<Tab>*
or *<Ctrl>+<WinKey>+<Tab>* to access it?
Using *<WinKey>+<Tab>* requires that you keep the <WinKey> down, and
each successive press of <Tab> will change the stack. Whichever
application is at the top of the stack will become active when you
release <WinKey>.
If you use *<Ctrl>+<WinKey>+<Tab>*, then you can release all keys, and
use the mouse wheel to "scroll" the stack. Click on any particular
application in the stack to bring it to the front and to exit Flip 3D.
Using the "switch between windows" button on the desktop taskbar never
made any sense to me, because you can just as easily click on the
desired applications button. The "switch between windows" button for
Flip 3D was added by Microsoft only for those poor souls who want to use
Flip 3D, but do not have a <WinKey> on their keyboard, which is very
rare these days, as the <WinKey> first made it's debut at around the
same time as Windows 95 - Which means if your keyboard doesn't have one,
it pushing 13 years old or more, and it's really time to get a new
one...
