After 1 failed update this same update has installed 11 times

Hi,

Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2
(KB936181) had one failed update on 30th August. Since then it has
successfully updated itself thus:

Mine installed nine times so far. The security bulletin is full of
technogibberish. I still don't know what to do. Why does Microsoft created
these problems? I will just hide the update, since it has been installed
nine times.

Actually this problem is usually caused by a third-party program.

Probably unwise.

Try downloading the update from the download center and installing it in safe mode.
