After installing SP2 IIS is not working...

Hi,

I installed SP2 in XP Pro, everthing seems to be ok, my programs load
without problem, but IIS does work. I can't access localhost from the
browser, and I can open the IIS manager, it only shows a clock as if trying
to open it, but it never opens. Do you have any idea what could be the
problem?

I also have a simliar problem - installed XP service pack 2 from the windows
update and IIS is no longer working. Switching firewall on or off does not
affect it. Do I have to uninstall IIS and then reinstall maybe? Will this
make things better or worse?
