After installing Updates comp wont run properly

Sometimes when I'm lucky my comp starts like it's supposed to I get an error
message and I always report it. Inturn it always identifies the problem as
Security Update 873333 (MS05-012) - it causes the comp the shutdown
inproperly and I download whats supposed to fix it but when I restart it
doesnt work properly again... Its really frustrating!! Anyone know how to
help? Thanks!!
