With the help of Microsoft Technical Support I created a new user account and
found that this did not have the problem so I have switched to this and
deleted the old one.

It is a bit of a pain as you have to transfer all your settings, but you can
use the files and settings transfer wizard to speed it up. Don't transfer
taskbar settings though as this will replicate your problem!

Microsoft did not know why there had been a problem and had not had any
other reports of it, so I suggest you send in a query. Maybe if enough
people do they will investigate it and come up with a fix.

Same problem here. Will try your fix.... but would rather not have to set up
a new user account -- pain in the ass. Microsoft should fix these things
before releasing them to the general public. They treat us all as
beta-testers.
