After KB918118 install Inventor 9 text edit not work

Hi

I've got Autodesk Inventor 11 and the same thing happened to me too. Then I
uninstalled KB918118, but it did not work. After investigating, I realised
that Automatic Updates have installed it on my pc again. How do you prevent
this from happening?

I finally managed to uninstall this update KB918118 by first setting the
Automatic Updates in the control panel to "Notify me but not automatically
install them."

Could Microsoft not check with Autodesk first before releasing new updates
or at least somehow warn us poor people against these things?

I have basically lost a whole day's work because of this stupid issue by
uninstalling and reinstalling software etc. and trying to find the problem.

It's a pity that Mac doesn't support Autodesk products yet.

If you don't want modify Windows, Windows update senngins:

0. Uninstall KB918118 if installed and restart
1. Open Windows update (from IE)
2. Press [+] (additional information) of KB918118 and [ ] Don't show

Now Windows update didn't push update to machine.

...or KB918118 uninstall not work.. example Dell Prescision 460 Workstation
..|.. Return with restorepoint to timestamp, what is before installation.
Second.. if Inventor works now fine, but stop works about 6 hour after,
uninstall KB918118 and restart.
