After SP2 install, explorer crashes after login

Hello,

I installed SP2 thru windows update. Now whne I start up and log in, my
background pic comes up, but before I get any desktop icons, i get an error
message that explorer has encountered a problem. If I close, then nothing
happens. I can get to the task manager with C-A-D, but the desktop never
appears. Any suggestions?
