After SP2, Outlook doesn't work

Help! I wish I had known how much trouble SP2 would make for me!!! I
dutifully downloaded and installed all the Microsoft updates for XP
professional and Office 2002, including SP2, and now my computer is working
terribly!

Specifically, I can't get Outlook to check for mail - it says, "The
operation failed." Then, if I try to go to Email Accounts, is says, "The
operation failed due to a registry problem. Restart Outlook and try again.
If the problem persists, reinstall."

I did that - and it's still now working! Has anyone experienced this? And,
what do I need to do!? I work from home so I absolutely need my Outlook to
work and work well. This is so irritating!

Might want to post in microsoft.public.outlook for more help...and mention
more details. Are you on SP3 for Office XP? Event log errors?
