after update, can't get rid of status bar

Before updating my puter, pictures in my slideshow were displayed normally,
in their own little window with no status bar at the bottom. And the
watermark is on the bottom also. A OK.

After updating, these same pictures now have the bottom of them covered over
by the status bar. And there is no adjustment that I've found that will turn
that off.

I tried it with FireFox and the pics are displayed 'normally'. Y'all have
broke this in doing your update. Unless you can steer me on how to fix it
myself, using IE of course.
